Rules for Making a Zanpakuto

These are the rules for all shinigamis who want to customize their zanpakutos. Use the Zanpakuto Template when customizing your weapon. Shikais can be used by any, but Bankai the User must be Officer/Knight rank or higher.

Name of zanpakuto: Zanpakutos can only reach Shikai when the shinigami is able to communicate with them and find out their name. In order for your character to know the name of their zanpakuto, you must have the Shikai of the zanpakuto approved by an administrator or a moderator, then you can give your zanpakuto its name; otherwise you must place in this section- (Not known).

Length: Since zanpakutos are katanas in their sealed state, a shinigami’s zanpakuto is usually between 61 to 76 centimeters.

Hilt: The hilt is the handle of the zanpakuto, you can detail the hilt by color or symbol or any design; you can also place a small object hanging from the end (eg. A tassel). You can also design the guard (the guard is between the blade and the hilt).

Sheath: You can detail how the sheath looks by color, a design, etc.

Appearance: Any other detail about the zanpakuto.

Shikai: The first release of the zanpakuto. Here you will give the appearance and the effect of the shikai. *Note- Since shikai is the first release, it cannot be very powerful.

History: This is where you must type how your character first heard his zanpakuto and released its shikai. The History of the shikai must be at least 200 words minimum.

Spirit Energy Cost: Every time the shinigami uses the effect of his/her zanpakuto, they must use a certain amount of SE.

Bankai: The final release of the zanpakuto. Here you will give the appearance and the effect of the bankai. *Note- Even though the bankai form is the zanpakuto’s strongest, it cannot be invincible. *Note- Bankais can only have so many Effects. To be able to use Bankai, the user must be at least Officer/Knight rank.

History: This is where you must type how your character first released his/her zanpakuto’s bankai. The History of the bankai must be at least 500 words minimum (Can be placed in story format- optional). *Note- Since bankais are extremely difficult for shinigamis to release, it will be difficult for a typed history (bankai) to be accepted.

Spirit Energy Cost: Every time the shinigami uses the effect of his/her zanpakuto, they must use a certain amount of SE. *Note: Every time the user posts, he will lose 5 SE; Players are able to willingly close their zanpakuto’s bankai.
